Now that your chart has been loaded, it’s time to check that the grids line up correctly across your pages. Properly aligned grids are essential for accurate symbol detection and smooth stitching progress.

Why Grid Alignment Matters

Most printed charts include a grid to help guide your stitching. Markup R-XP overlays a digital grid to match this layout. If the overlay grid doesn’t line up properly with your chart’s printed grid:

  • Symbols may be misaligned
  • Some stitches may not be detected correctly
  • Symbols might appear split across multiple cells

Automatic Checks & Warnings

Markup R-XP will try to automatically align your pages, and you'll see one of the following:

  • โœ… All clear: The app didn’t detect any major alignment issues. It’s still a good idea to spot-check a few pages, especially if they were scanned manually.
  • โš ๏ธ Warnings detected: One or more pages don’t appear to line up properly. In this case, we recommend you carefully review and fix each affected page before continuing.

๐Ÿ‘ฃ What to Do Next

In the following steps, you’ll be able to:

  • Adjust the grid manually using simple controls
  • Copy/paste grid settings between similar pages
  • Preview your changes live

You don’t need to get it perfectly pixel-aligned — just make sure the grid boxes match up closely with the printed chart lines. A few tweaks here can save a lot of cleanup later.
