Open any confirmed symbol to refine it: adjust which cells it claims, retune how strictly it matches, change its icon, or delete it. Threshold changes can be pushed out across every page in one go, so you never start over.

Open a symbol from Set Symbols by tapping it in the panel, or by tapping any assigned cell on the chart. The matching sliders are shared with Symbol Search.

Editing the Symbol

Open a symbol

[Screenshot: the edit panel open for a confirmed symbol, showing its cells grid and sliders]

Tap a symbol in the panel, or an assigned cell on the chart, to open its detail panel.
Include / exclude cells
Tap cells on the chart to add them to, or remove them from, the symbol. Correct exactly which cells it owns.
Change icon
Set the symbol's picture by tapping a representative cell on the chart, so its thumbnail matches what you are hunting for.
Delete symbol
Remove this symbol from the project. Undoable, so a wrong tap costs nothing.

Retuning the Match

Retune thresholds
Adjust the match sensitivity, pre-filled from the symbol's saved settings. The matches re-search live as you slide.
Rescan All Pages
Once you have changed the thresholds, push the new matching across every other page in one action. On multi-page charts the button arms only after a change and turns red to signal it is ready.
Cells on this page
A grid shows the cells this symbol claims on the current page: green where the thresholds match, grey where you have hand-included or excluded them.
Collapse panel
Fold the detail panel away to check your changes against the full chart while staying in edit.

Did you know?

  • Duplicate, not wrong? If two symbols are really the same one, do not delete either. Merge them instead, so their cells and counts combine cleanly.
  • Green and grey tell the story. Green cells come from the sliders, grey cells are your hand overrides. You can see at a glance what the symbol owns and why.
  • A retune is chart-wide when you want it. Fix a symbol's sensitivity once, then Rescan All Pages carries the fix to every page.
