The markup screen. This is where the magic happens. Tap cells to mark them off as you stitch, track your progress and never lose another stitch.

Controls at a glance

Pan and zoom
Use two fingers to pan and zoom now, and move around the chart. One finger is for marking up grid cells. No more button switching to markup large parts of your pattern.
Tap a single cell
Marks it with the current symbol’s colour. Tap again to unmark it.
Drag across multiple cells
Drag a single finger over multiple cells to (un)mark them up in one sweep. Made a mistake? no worries, click undo. Want them back? we've got you covered, click redo.

Symbol list
One symbol list, displayed on the right side of the page, 4 states:

  1. Off,
  2. Thin (symbol, colour, number),
  3. List (Thin + name, Done, Todo, Sort, Single Page View),
  4. Full (List + Totals and Notes).

Tap on symbol to select. Tap again to unselect.

Action chipset
Icon buttons displayed on the left edge (bottom of the screen in portrait). Save the project, open the project settings, open the statistics and project info, switch between full-page and grid-only chart view, and scale-to-fit.

Symbol chipset
Shows the current symbol (if selected) and markup colour. the name, Todo and Remaining counts. Undo and Redo are also displayed when grid cells are updated. The magnifying glass has 4 states:

  1. White is off, use single finger to mark off any cell.
  2. Click to turn Red - activated - single tap on grid cell will select associated symbol,
  3. White with 'x' - symbol is selected - click magnifying glass to clear symbol selection,
  4. Long press on magnifying glass - Red with Arrows for Multi Symbol Search - tap any grid cell to select symbol, tap again to clear, tap differnt cell to select a different symbol - when enabled, single finger pan is active. Click on magnifying glass to make current symbol active and start marking off

The layers panel

Tap the text on the Symbol Chipset to open the layers panel. Everything you see on the canvas is stacked in layers here:

 

Chart Row: controls the display of the underlying chart page images. Use the eye icon to Show/Hide the chart, Fade with the opacity slider, or rotate the whole chart 90 degrees at a time.

Markup Row: when active (circle highlighted), users can mark off grid cells. Use the eye icon to Show/Hide your current markup, Toggle the Grid Lines visibility, preview the finished pattern with all coloured stitches set, Highlight any umarkeed grid cells you have not stitched yet, Flash a target ring on your last stitch to quickly identify its location, or Lock marked off grid cells so nothing gets unmarked by accident.

Drawing Layers: add up to five custom drawing layers on top of your chart and markup.  add one with +, pick each layer’s pen and colour, erase single strokes, reorder or delete layers.

The round marker on the left of each row picks the active layer: it decides whether a one-finger touch marks cells (Markup active) or draws (a drawing layer active).

The symbol panel

The panel on the right is your command centre for symbols. Tap a symbol to make it the current one, and every cell you mark uses its colour. Each card shows the symbol’s thread colour and how many stitches are left.

It has three sizes, from a thin strip of swatches to a full-screen list, plus hidden. The sort chips reorder it, and the magnifier on the top chipset works the other way around: tap a cell on the chart and its symbol becomes current.

More about this step

A drag only affects cells that match the first cell you touched. If you start on an unmarked cell the sweep only marks, and if you start on a marked cell it only unmarks, so a wobbly finger cannot flip things both ways.

Marks are saved as you go, and your daily count updates live. Unmarking a stitch you made today takes it off today’s count. Unmarking an older one does not.

Closing the project returns you to the dashboard, and reopening it brings you straight back here, exactly where you left off.
