Chart Preview displays the fully configured chart with every symbol marked, giving you a clear view of how the finished design will look using the assigned symbols and thread colours. You can also review any picture pages that may contain important pattern information and choose a new cover image for the project. When everything looks correct, select Next to save your changes, open the Markup screen and start stitching.

Controls at a Glance

Chart-Preview Chipset (default)

When this step is first opened, the Chart-Preview button is highlighted in blue and a Preview of the chart (all symbols replaced by their thread colours) is presented to the user. This provides a quick snapshot of whether your chart setup is correct or not.

Take a Snapshot (Camera Icon): whilst the chart preview is displayed, if you click on the camera icon, then the project's cover image will be updated with the chart preview image. A popup message will be displayed indicating that the cover image has been updated.

Chart-Preview (ON): Renders the chart as if stitched: every assigned cell in its thread colour on the fabric-colour background, with no grid or glyphs. Chart view only. The icon is highlighted in blue to indicate that is currently active. To turn off chart preview, simply tap the icon:

When the chart preview is turned off, the camera icon option is hidden, as there is no preview to take a snapshot of.

Picture Pages Toggle: Switch between the chart-preview/chart-pages view of the pattern, and the current project's selected Picture-Pages view. See next section below for details.

Chart Page Layout Toggle: switch between full chart page layout mode and a grid-only page layout mode to view the chart preview in normal or exploded/page view.

Scale-to-Fit: reset the chart page layout configuration to zoom and frame all pages in the current view

Take a Snapshot (Camera Icon): is hidden in this chipset view.
Select Picture Pages (Edit Icon): short-cut to the Select Picture Pages step, where the user can update their picture page selection for the project. Press the Return button on that screen to return to Chart Preview.

Chart Page Layout Toggle: switch between the picture pages being laid out with or without spaces between the pages.

Chart Preview: Final Checks

Chart / Key / Picture views
See the finished chart grid, your colour key, or your picture pages, all fully zoomable. Switching to a picture keeps your chart zoom, so you can compare the same spot.
Tap a cell to verify
Tap any chart cell to highlight its assigned symbol in the panel, which scrolls to it. Double-check assignments before you commit.
Symbol panel
A read-only list of the confirmed symbols with per-page and total stitch counts, for a last sanity check of the palette.
Back / Finish
Back returns to Set Symbol Colours. Finish marks the project complete, saves everything and opens the marking screen.

Did you know?

  • See the finished piece before you stitch it. Preview mode is the closest thing to holding the completed work: real thread colours on your chosen fabric colour.
  • Missing a reference photo? On multi-page projects with no picture pages, a prompt jumps you to add them and returns you right here, so you never lose your place.
  • Finishing is not final. You can revisit setup later, for example to replace a page or adjust colours, without redoing the whole wizard.
  • Nothing is re-saved needlessly. Finish skips the save when nothing has changed since the last one, so leaving and returning is quick.
