Now each symbol needs a real thread colour. Tap a symbol and the app searches your key pages for it, highlights the match, and can pull the colour straight from the key. A rapid Quick mode lets you colour a whole chart in one flow.

Matching From the Key

Tap a symbol's card

[Screenshot: the key page zoomed to a matched glyph, with the match marker and the symbol panel beside it]

The key page pans and zooms to that glyph and highlights the match. When the symbol still has its placeholder colour, the colour is read from the key and assigned automatically where possible.
Tap a glyph on the key page
The reverse look-up: selects that symbol in the panel, so you can work straight from the key.
Auto-centre / anchor toggle
Choose whether the key view follows each match, or stays put. Turned off, the button shows an anchor and the view is locked while the app searches; the match marker still appears. Remembered per user.
Refresh key scale
If matches start landing oddly, this resets the key zoom to show all key pages and clears the match markers.
Key / Picture toggle
Switch the display between the key pages and the picture pages, to compare the legend against the finished image.

Quick Colour Mode

Enter Quick mode
Tap the lightning chip. A keypad dock opens with the current symbol pinned, turning colouring into an assembly line. Your preference is remembered between sessions.
Type the thread number
Tap the number on the keypad; it is pre-filled if the symbol already has a colour in the active range. Enter saves and jumps straight to the next symbol.
Skip / Edit / Close
Skip moves on without assigning, Edit opens the full colour editor for an awkward colour, and Close returns to the normal view.
Brand and anchor from the dock
Switch the thread brand or lock the key view without leaving the keypad, so the rhythm never breaks.

Did you know?

  • Gaps never block you. Uncoloured symbols and duplicate threads are allowed, and Next always works. Symbols without a colour simply preview as bare fabric.
  • No key pages? No problem. The colour editor works fully by hand, so charts without a printed key can still be coloured completely.
  • A red thread number means "not in this range". An unknown code will not save; check the number against the key, or switch the brand.
  • You can sort the symbol panel by colour, which makes it easy to work through similar shades together and spot near-duplicates.
