Markup R-XP’s built-in PDF editor gives you complete control over your project’s page list. Add, remove, rotate, duplicate and reorder pages before setup begins, combining pages from PDFs, images and photos to create your project exactly the way you want it.

Controls at a Glance

The Page Toolbar

Each page gets its own thumbnail tile. Yellow background indicates the currently selected page. Tap the tile to open its floating toolbar; tap again (or scroll) to close it. The Add button lets you insert pages immediately after the page.

Zoom: Full-screen pan and zoom-able preview of the page, so you can check it closely before setup.
Rotate page: Rotate whole page in 90 degree increments.
Rotate content:  Inserted image pages only. Rotate just the image in 90 degree increments whilst the page orientation remains the same.
Clone:  Used when multiple charts exist on a single page. Duplicate the page, so each chart has its own page. Each duplicate is given the same source page number. 
Delete: Remove pages that are not needed (asks first). The last remaining page cannot be deleted.

Adding and Arranging Pages

+ on a tile: Inserts a page right after the page: choose from another PDF, a gallery image, a folder image, the camera, or a blank stitch-along (SAL) holding page.
Add page from PDF: Opens PDF file picker. Select PDF. PDF's pages are displayed in a grid layout. Tap one page to insert it. Name = 'Inserted PDF'.  Repeat for multiple pages. 
Add image: Select image file. Opens Adjust Corners step, before inserting into PDF. Name = "Gallery Image". 
Add SAL holding page: Not all SALs contain all pages in their initial PDF release. Markup project pages can only be replaced and not added for existing projects. Use the SAL holding pages to add empty pages to your PDF depending on how many pages the final SAL should contain. Name = "Added". Full guide. 
Reorder pages: Long-press on a page and drag to change the order of pages. Ensure that the chart pages are in the correct order (left-to-right, top-to-bottom) so they can be stitched together correctly.

Save PDF Changes

Export as PDF: Saves any changes to the project pages and creates a new PDF file, which can be used independently, or reloaded into the app at a later date.

Next: Saves all pages internally as a new PDF, then processes every page to detect grids and symbols ("Processing Pages... X of Y"). Big PDFs may take a moment, this is normal.

Did you know?

  • No more online PDF editors: Markup now contains everything you need to build one project from separate images, photos and PDFs right here, without going anywhere else.
  • Multi-page selection: you can now select multiple images at once to load into the app, and their selection order is maintained after insertion.
  • Stitch-ALongs (SALs) welcome: blank holding pages exist to be replaced when new SAL project pages are released.
  • SAL replacing a page mid-project: returns to this step but only your chart pages are listed, a red banner reminds you, and reordering is off during the replace. Close 'x' button returns to your project untouched.
