Application Settings covers the app itself: its colours, what happens at startup, the screen and battery, your project categories and the language.

It is part of the Settings tab, and only appears there. See The Settings Tab for the full picture.

Ten colour themes: Blue, Pink, Green, Gold, Dusk, Mist, Blush, Sage, Honey and more. Pick whatever is easiest on your eyes and the whole app changes instantly.

Startup

Auto-open last project: Skip the Dashboard and jump straight back into the project you were working on when the app starts.
Show popup notifications: The small text banners that confirm what just happened. Turn them off to work in silence, or set how long each one stays with Short, Medium or Long.

Battery Usage

Keep the screen on while stitching: The default. Your device will not go to sleep mid-row while a chart is open.
Always keep the screen on: The screen stays awake everywhere in the app.
Let the screen sleep as normal: Kindest to your battery. Your device sleeps on its usual schedule.

Category Names

Rename your categories: The four project categories, Done, Doing, Kitted and Wishlist out of the box, can be renamed to anything that suits how you organise. The names appear when filtering projects, for example on the Statistics tab. See where they are used.

Language and Advanced

Force English: Use the app in English even when your device is set to another language.
Edit symbol name and colour while stitching: An advanced toggle. When on, tapping a symbol’s colour box on the markup screen lets you change its thread colour or name without going back through the chart setup wizard.

Did you know?

  • The theme is about your eyes as much as looks. Try Dusk or Mist for low-light evening stitching.
  • Category names are app-wide, so a rename shows up everywhere at once.
