Settings is where you make Markup yours. Six sections cover everything from the app theme to how your stitches are marked, each one a list of groups you can expand and collapse.

Two Places, One Screen

On the Settings tab: Changes made here are your app-wide defaults. Every new project starts with these values.
Inside a project: Open settings from the chart via the gear button and the same screen appears, but now the values belong to that project only. Application Settings and Free Samples stay on the Dashboard, and a Reset to Default Values button lets the project fall back to your app-wide defaults. Full guide.
Project extras: A few controls only make sense with a chart open, so they only appear there: chart page opacity and rotation, grid line offsets, centre line nudges, and the guide bar extras.

Handy to Know

Expand and Collapse All: The buttons under the menu open or close every group in the current section at once.
Collapsed summaries: Each group shows its current values in the grey line under its name, so you can read your setup without opening anything.
Version: The app version shown at the bottom left is handy when reporting a problem.

Did you know?

  • Colour swatches with a checkerboard pattern mean the colour is partly transparent, so the chart shows through it.
  • Tap any colour swatch to open the colour picker and choose your own.
