Guide bars are movable lines you place over the chart to frame the area you are stitching. Use them to keep your row, focus on a region and count the stitches inside it.
All guide bar controls live in the Grid Settings section of the project settings.

Show Guide Bars Turn the bars on or off. Drag a bar to move it, and double tap it to lock it in place. |
Use Diagonal Guide Bars The bars run diagonally instead, for patterns you stitch on the diagonal. |

Auto-place Guide Bars |
Snap the bars around your area Go to your area first: pan and zoom so the block you are working on fills the screen. Then tap Place, and the four bars snap around it. |

Working in a Region |
Focus on a region Frame the block you are working on with straight or diagonal bars, and see the stitch counts for just that region. |
Restrict Chart to Guide Region Limit the symbol list, marking and highlighting to the cells inside the region. Everything outside is dimmed. Statistics still report for the whole project. |

Guide Bar Thickness and Colour Make the bars bold and easy to spot on your chart, in a colour that suits it. Standard settings controls, in Grid Settings. |
